Figurative Language

Figurative - Departing from a literal use of words.

Figure of Speech - A word or phrase used in a non-literal sense to add rhetorical force to a spoken or written passage.

Imagery - Visually descriptive or figurative language.

Trope - A figurative or metaphorical use of a word or expression.

Figurative Language - A distinction in traditional system of analyzing language.

All of these definitions have to do with speaking or writing, but using certain words to express your sentence more.
